Hawai‘i Medication Drop Box Program

In July of 2018, Keep it Flowing collaborated with the Department of the Attorney General (AG), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Public Safety (PSD), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Hawai‘i, Maui, Honolulu, and Kauai Police Departments to design Medication Drop Boxes to ensure a more convenient way for the public to drop off unused prescription drugs at designated police stations across the state.  Keep It Flowing focuses on community and how we can use art and design to help make a difference.

“This is a game-changer for a serious public health issue,” said Lt. Governor Chin. “We’re being proactive and making it easier to remove dangerous drugs from our homes, schools and streets 365 days a year.”
