Ken “East3” Nishimura, Keep It Flowing LLC
This alaka’i award is presented to an organization or agency that has been an instrumental partner in moving our work forward. The organization or agency must demonstrate competency and have helped to advance our work in one or more of the following areas: such as decreasing youth initiation of tobacco use, increasing tobacco cessation, reducing exposure to secondhand smoke and or reducing disparities in tobacco use, or been instrumental in passing policies.
Ken “East3” Nishimura, is best known for his designing and painting aerosol murals in numerous parts of the United States and the world which includes Abu Dahbi, Japan, England, China, and more. Behind the art you will find a seasoned entrepreneur, dedicated project manager and responsible accountant with great attention to detail. Ken has worked as a professional artist for nearly thirty years and has worked with many
clients developing projects around the globe.
Since 2014, Ken has been focused on his company, Keep It Flowing LLC (KIF). KIF partners with non- profit and for-profit companies to provide creative designs solutions and youth empowerment programs through awareness murals and education. KIF has project managed and painted over 35 murals statewide within 5 years and has received numerous proclamations in all four counties within the State of Hawai’i. Ken’s goal is to continue inspiring & creating awareness through art to help strengthen communities in all four counties of Hawai’i.
