Maui High School Fall 2014: Mural Presentation. This mural presentation was conducted simultaneously as the Not Even Once Mural Project (NEOMP) artist were in process of painting an anti-meth sea scape on campus. The presentation covered a brief career background of lead artist Ken Nishimura as well as the planning, organizing and execution process of a mural project. We believe that it is vital for the students who attend these presentations to to learn the basics of business execution and administrative responsibilities that are also involved with a creative based project.
Vice Principal Glenda Joyo appreciated Nishimura’s approach with students during this workshop. “It was inspiring to see how his journey has led him to success and to a place where he could spread positive messages and effective change in our communities. He made us believe that we could do it as well.”
