Kealakehe Elementary Kona, Hawaii 2014: Mural Presentation. This mural presentation was conducted simultaneously as the Not Even Once Mural Project (NEOMP) artist were in process of painting an anti-meth sea scape on campus with Floorox Hawaii LLC. The presentation covered a brief career background of lead artist Ken Nishimura as well as the sharing the process of a mural with the students. The students were engaged and had a a lot of questions about the process.
Principal Nancy Matsukawa from Kealakehe wrote, this project can be summed up as “creative and inspirational.” We look forward to mutually inspiring one another in the next NEOMP edition: Spring 2015.
